Why the Noida context changes the answer
Climate: Noida runs a wide annual swing — 44–47°C peak summer to 4–6°C winter nights. AAC's insulation flattens indoor swings; red brick stores heat and radiates it into the evening.
Soil: much of Noida and Greater Noida sits on alluvial soil with moderate bearing capacity. Lighter AAC walls reduce the load reaching footings, which often trims foundation and column steel on multi-storey builds.
Monsoon: AAC is more absorbent, so it needs proper plaster, block-jointing adhesive and waterproofing at plinth and wet areas. Skipping that step is the single most common cause of AAC dampness complaints in NCR.

Per unit AAC looks costlier, but per sq ft of finished wall it usually works out 8–15% cheaper because fewer joints mean less mortar, less plaster thickness and far less labour time. On multi-storey builds the savings grow further through reduced steel and concrete in the frame.
Which is better for a Noida summer — red brick or AAC?
AAC. Its thermal conductivity is roughly a quarter of red brick, so interiors stay cooler through Noida's 45°C peaks and air-conditioning runs shorter cycles. On a 200 mm external wall the difference in surface temperature is clearly noticeable.
Are AAC blocks strong enough for a house?
Yes, for infill walls in an RCC frame structure, which is how nearly all houses in Noida are built. AAC is not intended for load-bearing masonry beyond low, designed heights, and heavy wall fixtures need chemical anchors or sleeve fasteners rather than ordinary nails.
Do AAC blocks cause seepage?
Not when detailed correctly. AAC absorbs more water than brick, so it needs block-jointing adhesive, correct plaster mix, a brick or concrete plinth course, and waterproofing in bathrooms and terraces. Where those steps are followed, seepage performance matches brick.
